Easy Christianity is a part of Spreading Light Ministries. The purpose of
this site is to make Christianity understandable to anyone and to answer
questions that many may have about the Christian church. As a pastor, the
founder of Spreading Light Ministries has dealt with
questions concerning the basics of Christianity for a number
of years. Easy Christianity is an attempt to boil
Christianity down to its most important parts without
sacrificing anything crucial to the beliefs of Christianity.
Spreading Light
Ministries began in 1999. It was designed to give Biblical
insight into some of Christianity's more difficult issues.
Since then, that ministry has expanded into a place where
not only that is discussed but has included theology,
sermons, Bible studies, and Christian stories. In January
2003 we included an online
school that offers free courses to Christians around the
world. In January 2005 Christian
Life Stories was
launched as its own site due to the popularity of Christian
stories and poems. In 2008 Online Bible Devotions was
launched. 2009 has brought rapid expansion to the
Spreading Light Ministries Network with the addition of
Inspirational Online which overlaps some of the material on
Christian Life Stories. Also in 2009 My Online Bible
Games was spawned as its separate site apart from
spreadinglight.com. With this new site came numerous
printable games as well as many new online games.
Totally new in 2009 is also Study Bibles Shop, a site which
reviews and sells study Bibles. Christian Evangelism
is the newest addition to the Spreading Light Network but
more additions are planned for 2009.
Our ultimate goal is to
bring souls to Christ and to unite the church for that
purpose. If this ministry brings even one soul to Christ or
strengthens the faith of one believer, we believe that all
our work has paid off.
We believe that Jesus is
the only way to God and are concerned by the fact that so
many see nothing wrong in other religions today. John 14:6
says, "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the
life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" For
this reason, we hold that Christianity and faith in Christ
is the only way to heaven and despite our goal of unity, we
will not compromise on this issue.
We strive to see the Holy
Spirit alive and active in every place where Christians
gather. We want to see a fire spread throughout the church
of Jesus Christ; a revival and commitment like none ever
seen to take place across the world. We believe that the
time may be short and our Lord may return at any time. For
this reason, we want to be found ready for His return.
The founder of Spreading
Light has been at work within the church for a number of
years already. He is an ordained minister and has his
masters degree. Other contributors to this ministry are
involved in ministries of their own across the United States
and include various denominations. We do not agree on all
issues but firmly hold to the fact that Jesus is Lord and is
the only way to heaven.
Because there have been
some who have asked, the founder is the author of many of
the articles on this website. He is a member of the United
Brethren in Christ Church (found online at ub.org)
and holds a B.S. in Bible from Lancaster Bible College (lbc.edu)
as well as a
Master of Arts in Religion from Liberty University. (liberty.edu) Although
none of the views expressed on this website are
contradictory to the views held by the church or the
schools, they should not be assumed to be representative of
those organizations. Many stances held by this website has an
"official" view by the organizations and should be taken
to be
held only by the founder or other contributors to this ministry.
This ministry exists only
online and has no ministry budget or materials. For this
reason, we ask that visitors would not email us asking for
materials or donations to some cause, worthy as they may be.
